In Chinese Astrology, each year is represented by the qualities of an animal and an element and we are called upon to embrace the specific qualities of that element and animal in our lives, attitudes and choices in order to grow. When we realize this, we can approach each year with insight, understanding and a plan for how best to use the challenges & gifts each year brings.

The year of the rabbit is very important because it will be a year of digesting the last three years and reflecting on how it has impacted and changed us. Like the story of Osiris in Egyptian mythology, we have, in a sense, come apart, and now we have to decide how we want to put ourselves back together again. We are going from the fast and furious energy of the tiger to the meditative and thoughtful

wisdom of the rabbit. In other words, like it or not, we’re going inward.
